Government services

Most government institutions, including DMVs and local libraries, will treat Friday as a holiday. It’s advisable to double-check the status of local services for the day.

Retailers

Major retailers like Target, Walmart, Kroger, and other grocery chains will be open on both Friday and Saturday. Local stores and retailers may have alternate hours, so checking in advance is recommended.
